Monique Bastin (Gamache)
The family announces with great sorrow her passing at the Timmins and District Hospital on Tuesday, December 10, 2024 at the age of 75 years. Loving mother of James Bastin of Alberta and Daniel (Shauna) Bastin of London. Proud grandmother of Kayleigh and Allysha. She leaves behind her siblings Yvon (Fleurette), Pierre, Marie Anne Studor and Don and also her nieces and nephews Robert, Natalie, Louise, Karen, Lynda, Marissa and Ryan. She is predeceased by her parents Leo and Gisele Gamache and her big sister Celine Sauvageau.
Monique worked at Tim Hortons and Walmart for many years and has been enjoying her retirement over the last 10. She?s lived at the Lasalle Retirement Residence for 2 years and has loved her time there, she made many friends and was known as the dancing queen.
The family would like to thank the staff of the Timmins and District Hospital for their care and compassion during Monique?s time at TDH.
As per Monique?s wishes, cremation has taken place and a memorial service will take place on Saturday, December 14, 2024 at 1:30 pm from the Miron-Wilson Funeral Home chapel with Deacon Michel Neron as officiant. A lunch reception will follow. Remembrance donations to the Alzheimer?s Society or the Canadian Cancer Society would be greatly appreciated. Family will receive friends on Saturday, December 14, 2024 from 1pm to 1:30 pm from the MIRON-WILSON FUNERAL HOME, Cremation and Reception Centre, 150 Balsam St. S., Timmins.
