Oshkosh (WI) Daily Northwestern, May 5, 1930, Page 13, Col. 2: "MENASHA MAN DIED AT NEENAH HOSPITAL - Menasha - Charles J. Rosenow, 734 Keye street, resident of Menasha for sixty-seven years, died Sunday morning, at 8:30 o'clock at Theda Clark hospital.
"Born in Germany, Aug. 8, 1855, Mr. Rosenow came to America with his parents and since that time had been a resident of this city. During his early years of activity he was employed as a sailor and worked on boats plying between the east shore of Lake Winnebago and brick yards of this vicinity.
"Surviving are his wife, Dorothea Langner Rosenow; five sons, William, Frederick, Albert, Henry and George Rosenow; five daughters Mrs. A. H. Angermeyer, Mrs. Anna Reinhardt, Mrs. E. C. Schneider, Mrs. G. J. Chapleau and Miss Dorothea Rosenow; two brothers, Fred and Theodore Rosenow, all of Menasha; and two sisters, Mrs. Ernstena Schanke of Chicago, and Mrs. August Brown, of Neenah. There are also eleven grandchildren.
"Funeral services will be held Tuesday afternoon at 1:30 o'clock at the residence, and at 2 o'clock at Trinity Lutheran church, Rev. J. G. Pohley officiating. Services at the residence will be private. Interment will be at Oak Hill cemetery."
