  Died: Gilbert ?Gil' Mendez 77, of Denver, formerly of Longmont passed away peacefully in his sleep at his home on January 5, 2008, and now rests at peace in the arms of the Father. Visitation will be held Wednesday from 4-7pm at Carroll-Lewellen Funeral Chapel. Recitation of the Rosary will be held Wednesday at 7:00pm at Carroll-Lewellen Funeral Chapel. Mass of Christian Burial will be held Thursday at 10:30am at St John the Baptist Catholic Church. Interment Foothills Garden of Memories. Military Honors provided by American Legion Post 32.
