OBITUARY THE MONROE COUNTY NEWS Albia, Iowa Tuesday, April 12, 1994 MARY CASTINGS Mary Castings, 93, of Albia died Monday, April 11, 1994, at the Monroe Care Center in Albia. Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at the Trinity United Methodist Church, the Rev. Jerrold Swinton officiating. Burial will be in the Oak View Cemetery. She was born Feb. 17, 1901, in Essen, Germany to Anton Pirnot and Cecelia Susa. She married Jesse Castings May 29, 1920, in Albia. He died Oct. 19, 1956. She was a homemaker and a member of the Trinity United Methodist Church in Albia. She is survived by a daughter, Lucille Caughey of Knoxville; three sons, Albert and Robert Castings of Albia and Everett Castings of Newton; a sister, Rose Scott of Cedar Falls; eight grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and three brothers, Anton Pirnot, Albert Pirnot and John Pirnot. Visitation begins at 11 a.m. Wednesday. Arrangements are by Geyer-Nordstrom Funeral Chapel in Albia.
