  [S5] Obituary. Marie Anderson, aged 92, beloved mother, sister, aunt, and grandmother, passed away on July 31, 2022 at her home near Gig Harbor. Morrie lived a long and varied life, serving her family and community as well as pursuing her own interests. She was born in Bremerton to Joseph and Marie Bashaw Morris and later moved to Seattle, attending Seattle University. During the Korean War, Morrie served in the Air Force as a radio operator. She had a passion for musical theater and stage managed many productions for the Saint Matthews Players. Victorian novels were among her wide-ranging literary tastes, and she was an active member of the Anthony Trollope Society. Morrie worked for many years as a customer service specialist at SeaFirst Bank, solving problems with great patience for customers whose accounts "could not possibly be overdrawn again!" With an appetite for learning about people different from herself and the vibrant cultures of the world, Morrie opened her home to dozens of international students, and she always made them teach her how to make their favorite dishes from home. She served her community through volunteering in many organizations, including Our Lady of the Lake Church and Francis House. She is preceded in death by her husband of 17 years, Edwin Doran Anderson; brothers Tom, Jim and Robert Morris; sisters Anne (Archie) Hunziger and Kathleen (Eldon) Miller; brother-in-law Richard Downs; and son-in-law Bill Luce. She is survived by her sisters Peggy Milnes and Cabrini (John) Gamache; brother Jack (Lisa) Morris; sisters-in-law Rose and Laura Morris and Sue Thompson; daughter Monica Luce; stepsons Joel (Eileen MacColl), Craig, and Mark (Mandy Burton) Anderson; sons Keith Bednarczuk (Jan) and Dennis Anderson; grandchildren Zeke, Stazi and Gus Bednarczuk; and over 60 beloved nieces and nephews.
