He was a nursing home administrator at Gables Nursing Home in Palmyra and Sandy Park Nursing Home in Fort Myers. He was an Alaska state trooper. He attended Stetson Law School. He served in the Army and the Marine Corps. He was a member of Palmyra Reform Church. Survivors include his wife, Gayle Marsh Nolan; a son, Rick of Leawood, Kan.; six stepchildren; a sister, Patricia Howell-Copp of Parrish; two grandchildren; and six stepgrandchildren. No visitation is planned. Interment will be at the convenience of the family. Covell Cremation and Funeral Center in Bradenton is in charge. Gayle and Ron?s ashes were scattered on Easter Island out in Canandaigua Lake, near Gayle?s childhood home in Macedon, NY
