Barbara A. Mummert
Seven Valleys Barbara A. (Sharp) Mummert, 75, passed away suddenly at home on January 17, 2018. She was the loving wife of the late Harold C. Mummert; who passed away in 1976.
Barbara was born in Hanover and was the daughter of the Harry E. and Marion G. (Eckert) Sharp.
She was a lifelong farmer at her family hog farm and had won Grand Champion Landrace Swine at the Pennsylvania Farm Show. She was most recently employed at JoAnn Fabrics in York. She also enjoyed sewing and crafts and cherished the time she spent with her family.
She is survived by her sons, John Mummert and wife, Carol of Seven Valleys and Todd Mummert and wife, Shawn of Thomasville; her daughter, Barbara Schrum and husband, Robert of York; her grandchildren, Jessica, Rachel, Austin, Nickolas and Abbigail; and her great-grandchildren, Jackson and Leanna. She is also survived by her niece, Kristen.
She was predeceased by her son, Harold C. Mummert II and his late wife, Karen Mummert; her nephew, Brandon; her late brother, Tim Sharp; and her late friend, David Buss.
A celebration of life viewing will be held on Monday from 6-8 p.m. at Beck Funeral Home & Cremation Service Inc., 175 N. Main St., Spring Grove. A Graveside service will be held on Tuesday at 10 a.m. at Rohler's Church Cemetery, 761 Rohler's Church Rd., Dover PA 17315. www.beckfunerals.com
