  [S5] Obituary. Michele L. Castracane, 47, of Garner Street, Cohoes died at her residence on Thursday, August 23, 2012 with her loving family by her side. Born and educated in Cohoes, she was the daughter of Rosemarie Cuva Gamache of Colonie and Gil Shepard of Cohoes. She was a Nurse's Assistant at St. Joseph's Provincial House in Latham. Survivors in addition to her parents are her husband, Paul J. Castracane of Cohoes; her children, Karen Castracane and Joseph (Christina) Castracane, Sr. of Cohoes and her grandson, Joseph Castracane, Jr. Sister of Gil Shepard of Colonie, Mark Shepard of Adirondack and Kim Cooper of Cohoes. Granddaughter of Rose Cuva of Colonie, also survived by aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. Funeral Monday 11:00 a.m. at the Dufresne Funeral Home, Inc., 216 Columbia Street, Cohoes with Hospice Minister Tony Green officiating. Interment in St. Mary's Cemetery, Waterford. Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home on Sunday from 2 to 5 p.m. Those who wish to remember Michele in a special way may make a contribution to theAmerican Cancer Society .
