Mildred "Inky" Toupet
AGE: 92 ? Iselin
Mildred "Inky" Toupet, 92, of Iselin, died on January 16, 2017 at the Mary Anne Hale Pavilion at JFK Medical Center in Edison.
Born in Newark, she was raised in Maplewood & graduated Colombia High School. In 1943, she was married & moved to Newark. In 1966, they moved to Iselin. She was a communicant of St. Cecelia's RC Church in Iselin. She was a member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary & the Evergreen Senior Citizen Center in Colonia. She worked for many years as a purchasing clerk for Fedders Air Conditioning in Edison. She was well known by all for her work as a seamstress. She was an avid bowler, loved to play the lottery, was very active and liked to sing and have lunch with friends.
She is predeceased by her husband of 62 years, Harry (2006); her parents, Frederick & Mildred Molly Dippel; & her sister, Ruth Jacquin.
She is survived by her three children, Harry & his wife Margaret of Mine Hill, Diane Gamache & her husband Joseph of Burlington, & Susanne Sanford of Bangor, PA; 5 grandchildren, Jason, Tricia, Kimberly, Linda, & Alex; 10 great-grandchildren; Jacob, Aiden, Ethan, Caleb, Molly, Eliott Lynn, Charlotte, Jeffrey, Macey, & Nicholas; and a niece Judith Church of Alvin TX.
Services will take place on Thursday, January 19, 2017 at 9:30 AM from the Costello-Runyon Funeral Home 1225 Green St. & Cooper Ave. Iselin, followed by a 10:00 AM Mass of Christian Burial at St. Cecelia's RC Church, Iselin. Entombment will follow at Resurrection Burial Park in Piscataway.
Visitation is Wednesday from 3-8 pm.
