- CLAIRE BROGAN SHANKS
Passed away peacefully on Tuesday, March 11, 2014. Loving mother of Daniel Shanks, Denise Shanks and Dawn Kristof Champney. Survived by her brother, Robert Fisette and sister, Pauline Shea. Preceded in death by her brother, Dan Fisette.
She was born in Fall River, MA, to Leo and Irene Gamache Fisette. She was married to Russell Brogan for 14 years until his untimely death in 1961. She remarried David Shanks for 10 years before divorce.
Her accomplished career included work for the Office of Naval Research, the American Society of Landscape Architects, the National Hospice Organization, the law firm of Cole, Corette and Abrutyn, and Fairfax Water.
A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, March 29 at 11 a.m. at Our Lady of Hope Catholic Church in Sterling, VA.
In lieu of flowers during Lent, the family requests that donations be made to Capital Caring Hospice Services.
