Deceased Name: LEOLA MAE PAGE
LEOLA MAE PAGE, 85, of Mid Town Manor II, Duluth, peacefully went to be with her Lord and Savior, her beloved husband, Denny, and family, on Saturday, April 21, 2007, in St. Luke's Hospital.
Leola was born in Allouez, Wis. on Oct. 5, 1921 to Victor and Mae (Lord) St. George.
She graduated from the Superior Cathedral High School. She was member of Holy Family Catholic Church and an Elder of the Fond Du Lac Band of Lake Superior Chippewa. She owned the Lee's Riverside Resort in Gordon, is. She liked to play cards and sing. She raised many foster children, volunteered at the VFW, Lincoln Park Senior Center, and the Union Gospel Mission.
Leola is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Denny, in 1973, siblings, Dexter, Margaret ''Sis'', June, Lewis, Leo and Lucius.
She is survived by her 5 children, Frank (Linda) of Apache Junction, Ariz., Danny of Poplar, Wis., Tony (Susan) of New Richmond, Wis., Leeanne (Peter) Gamache of Bennett, Wis, and Tim of Duluth; 14 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren; many nieces and nephews; and many friends and Midtown Manor.
VISITATION: 5 to 7 p.m. with the Ojibwe Blessing at 6 p.m. Tuesday in Bell Brothers Funeral Home. Mass of Christian Burial will be 1:00 PM Wednesday in Holy Family Catholic Church.
