[S5] Obituary.
Joseph Gamache, living in Nester Dam, died Tuesday morning, Nov. 17, after a short illness. He was a pioneer of Gladwin, coming to this place over 25 years ago when Peter Moore kept one of the two stores, Joe being the clerk. He moved to Nester Dam 10 years ago to take up farming. By his death we lose an ever kind friend and neighbor. He was a member of Riverside Grange.

In the year 1890 he was united in marriage to Mrs. Erena Truman Cole, of Sandridge Hill, Chippenham, Wittshire, England, who survives him, together with an aged mother, brothers and sisters in Quebec. Funeral services were held at the house and the remains were laid to rest in Highland cemetery, Gladwin. Rev. O. F. Bulman, of the city, conducted the services. T. Truman, of St. Johns, both of the widow, was present. Gladwin County Record dated 12-11/1903
