  [S5] Obituary. Joseph S. Nascimento 86, of Fall River passed away on Thursday, April 8th, 2010 after a long battle with Parkinson?s Disease. He was the beloved husband of Mary (Nunes) Nascimento for 66 years. Born in Warren, RI, he lived in Fall River all of his life and was the son of the late Irene (Cabeceiras) and John Nascimento. Besideds his wife, he is survived by his dear daughter Linda McHugh and her husband Kevin of Rehoboth, MA, a grandson Matthew Gamache and his wife Erica and two great-granddaughters Alice and Nora. He was the brother of the late Mercedes Lopes, Aldora Galego, Irene Costa and Alice Bastos. Joseph retired from Taunton State Hospital where he was a housekeeping supervisor. Previously he had worked in the needletrades. He was a great fan of boxing. He enjoyed working in his yard and being ?Mr. Fix It?. During WWII he was a volunteer with the Civilian Defense. Visitation SUNDAY 2-5 PM. His Funeral will be held on MONDAY at 8am from the A F ALMEIDA & SON FUNERAL HOME 1309 Globe St, Fall River with a 9am Mass at Holy Trinity Church.
