JOYCE DAVEY OBITUARY
Davey, Joyce Ann
TROY - Joyce Ann Davey, 87 of 2nd Avenue, passed away peacefully at her home on Friday, April 21, 2023, surrounded by her loving family.
Born in Troy, she was the daughter of the late George T. and Bernice Wiltsie Danbury. Joyce was retired from the former Gardenway Manufacturing Co. where she had been employed for over 20 years. She was a life member of the New York State PTA, and a member of the Blue Bird Moms, the Speiglelders and the Lansingburgh Veterans Ladies Auxiliary. She enjoyed traveling, crafting and floral arranging.
Joyce was the widow of the late Honorable Edgar C. Davey Jr. who died in 2018. She was the loving mother of Beverly J. Cottrell (Philip) of Troy, Diane L. Chase (Harry) of Erieville and Linda E. Lampkin (Mark) of Londonderry, N.H. She was the sister of Lois Kewley of Troy and the late George Danbury. She was the proud grandmother of Christopher Cottrell (Joshua), Adam Cottrell (Chelsea), Judson Chase (Kelsey), Shelby Chase (Alex), Stephanie Gamache (Chris) and Ryan Lampkin; and great-grandmother of Callahan and Maddox Cottrell, Judson and Blake Chase and Morgan Gamache. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
Funeral services will be on Saturday, April 29, at 10 a.m. in the Cornerstone Community Church in Lansingburgh. Interment will follow in the Oakwood Cemetery, Troy. Relatives and friends may visit at the Philip J. Brendese Funeral Home, 133 Broad St. (Rte.32), Waterford on Friday, April 28, from 5-7 p.m.
