SCARBOROUGH, Maine -- Charles Lawlor passed in the comfort of his home February 28, 2005 after a long battle with cancer. Continual care and support came from his partner of 11 years, Keith Gamache; his mother, Nancy Lawlor; and Hospice of Maine. He was born September 11, 1962 in Albany, N.Y., one of three children, the second son of Nancy Lawlor and Eugene Lawlor Sr. Charles attended Maple Hill High School and was a graduate of SUNY Albany with a B.A. degree in political science and English. Mr. Lawlor worked for Hannaford Brothers Company since 1986. During his tenure, he had served the company in N.Y., N.H., N.C., S.C. and Maine, leading to a career in process improvement.
He is survived by his partner, Keith Gamache; his mother, Nancy Lawlor; father, Eugene Lawlor Sr.; brother, Eugene Lawlor Jr.; sister, Ann Marie McIntosh; grandfather, Charles Biondo; and grandmother, Rose Lawlor; nieces and nephews, Anthony and Jessica McIntosh, Lisa and Michael Lawlor and Andrea Piroli; aunts and uncles, Cathy Smith, Charlie and Donna Biondo, Janis Lawlor and Joyce McDonald.
A service will be held on March 26 at the Sacred Heart Church in Castleton at 2 p.m. followed by a reception at the East Schodack Fire House at 3 p.m.
