Narcisse Gamache
It is with overwhelming sadness that the Gamache family announces the passing of our beloved husband, Poppa (father), grandfather, brother and uncle Narcisse Gamache on September 23, 2023, at the age of 81 years at his home in Makinak, Manitoba.
Narcisse was born in Laurier to Lorenzo & Rolande (Bilodeau) Gamache November 12, 1941. He grew up on their dairy farm and often told stories about milking cows, hauling wood and hunting with family and friends. He loved horses, country living, playing guitar, foraging for morels and asparagus and golfing in his later years but most of all he loved his family. For many years Narcisse worked in Northern Manitoba in the forestry industry. During this time, he and his wife Gayle built a house just outside of Makinak. Together, they made sure that it was a home where many memories were made, and everyone felt welcomed.
Left to cherish wonderful memories are his loving wife of 59 years, Gayle, children Tanis (Blaine), Cindy (Darren) and Bradley (Allie), his grandchildren Meaghan (Chad), Shayla (Jason), Taryn and Cole, great grandchildren, Treyton, Rylan, Seth, Rylee, Mason and Kolt, his siblings Gabriel (Lise), Diane (Gord), Lucille (Frank) and numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents Lorenzo and Rolande, his siblings Ernest, Elise, Florence, Odile, Lionel and his grandson Matthew.
As per Narcisse?s wishes, cremation has taken place, and no formal services will be held. Should friends and family wish to do so, please remember Narcisse with a donation to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Manitoba.
