Karen D. Mummert

Karen D. (Gamache) Mummert, 52, passed away Wednesday, January 3, 2018 at York Hospital. She was the wife of the late Harold Curtis Mummert II to whom she was married for 29 years.
A Celebration of Life Tribute will be held from 6-8 p.m., Wednesday, January 10, 2018 at Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 1551 Kenneth Rd, York. Burial will be held 10 a.m., Thursday at Susquehanna Memorial Gardens, 250 Chestnut Hill Rd, York. A funeral cortege will form at the main entrance of the cemetery at 9:45 a.m.
Born December 12, 1965 in York, she was the daughter of the late Michael L. and Delores M. (Dull) Gamache.
She was employed with Manor Care Health Services?Dallastown for the past 30 years and was presently working as their food service supervisor.
Karen enjoyed gardening and loved spending time with family, especially her grandchildren.
Mrs. Mummert is survived by two daughters, Jessica M. Alwine and husband, Andrew of E. Berlin; two grandchildren, Jackson Richard Alwine and Leanna Curtis Alwine and Rachel L. Mummert and her significant other, Ralphael Logan of Virginia Beach, VA; one son, Austin Curtis Mummert of Dover; one brother, Scott Gamache and his wife, Laura; nephews and niece, Christopher and Kurt Gamache and Katharine Gore; two sisters, Constance Hagermann; nephew, Spencer Hagermann and Victoria Boyd and her husband, Randy; nieces, Christine Brown, Amanda Hartsough and Kathleen Boyd.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105 or American Cancer Society, 924 N. Colonial Ave., York, Pa 17403.
