NANCY MALLEY OBITUARY
of Westford
Westford
Nancy Corkum Malley, 93, a life-long resident of Westford, MA died peacefully Monday evening, October 31, 2022 at Sunny Acres Nursing Home in Chelmsford, MA surrounded by her loving family.
Born in Boston, MA, she was the daughter of the late Bennett and Ora (Bachman) Corkum.
She was married to the late Robert A. Malley, who died on September 27, 1988.
She graduated from Westford Academy with the class of 1947.
She retired from AT&T in 1989 as a telephone operator.
She loved to knit and work on word puzzles, especially cryptograms.
She is survived by her children, Paula Malley of Stoneham, MA, Charles Malley of Westford, MA, a daughter-in-law, Diane Malley of Ayer, MA; a sister-in-law Jane Birkhold of San Antonio, TX, a sister-in-law, Carole Corkum of Lowell, MA; two granddaughters, Caitlin Gamache and Kerin Coltin and her husband, Aaron, all of Ayer, MA; four great grandchildren, Evelyn and Vivian Gamache, Bennett and Violet Coltin. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
She was the mother of the late Peter Malley and sister to the late Peter Corkum.
The family would like to thank Westford Ambulance Services, the staff of Beacon Hospice and Sunny Acres Nursing Home in Chelmsford for their loving care and support of Nancy and her family.
Per Nancy's wishes, services will be private, with burial in Fairview Cemetery, Westford, MA to follow.
