  [S5] Obituary. THE COURCHAINE FAMILY regrets to announce the death of Mr. JACQUES COURCHAINE who passed away on Friday May 23, 2008 at the age of 76. He was the son of the late Alfred Courchaine and the late Simone Sabourin and beloved husband of Pauline Canuel. He is survived by his children Michel (Martine Fortin), Carole (Marcel Gamache), Denis (Suzanne Courchaine), Lise (Pierre Boisvert) and Jacques Jr. He also leaves 12 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren, 2 brothers, Gilles (Nona) and Guy (Berthe), a sister, Suzanne (Don Ewanovich) and a great-aunt, Irène Chapman. Jacques was predeceased by his son Bernard (Rose-Marie), 2 brothers, Robert and Jean (Aline), 1 sister-in-law, Gabrielle (Guy Léger). The family wishes to thank the staff of the Elisabeth Bruyère Palliative Center (5th floor), especially Bruce, Carol and Dennis. A memorial mass will be held on Saturday, May 31 at 9:30 a.m. at Notre-Dame-de-Lourdes Church, Vanier (435 Montreal Road, Ottawa). For those who wish, donations to the Ottawa Hospital Cancer Center would be appreciated.
