SPRINGFIELD - Shirley Mae (Stone) LaValley, 70, of Shumway St., Springfield, passed away on Monday, October 31, 2005 in Mercy Medical Center. Born in Springfield and a resident for most of her life, she was the daughter of the late John and Rita (Gamache) Stone. Shirley Mae had also resided in Lakeland, FL for (10) years. She was a retired sales clerk for K-Mart. A communicant of Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Church, Shirley Mae was also a member of the Pine Point Seniors. Her trips and adventures at her favorite casino, The Mohegan Sun, was a pastime she truly loved. She is survived by her husband of (52) years, Raymond H. LaValley, Sr., (2) sons; Raymond H. LaValley, Jr., of Chicopee; Jules J. LaValley and his wife, Phyllis A. of Agawam; (2) daughters; Joy Grandfield and her husband, Daniel of Springfield; Maryanne Riley of Louisville, KY; (2) brothers; Charles Bedard and his wife Dolores and John Stone and his wife, Marquerite all of Springfield; (2) sisters; Beverly Glennie and Diane Low both of Springfield; (10) grandchildren and (4) great grandchildren. The funeral will be Wednesday morning from the Ratell Funeral Home 200 Main St., Indian Orchard at 8 a.m., followed by the Liturgy of Christian Burial in Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Church, Springfield, at 9 a.m. Burial will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery.
