Morrissette Léo It is with great sorrow that we inform you of the death of Mr. Léo Morrissette 1935-2020, which occurred on October 25, 2020, peacefully at the age of 84, in the presence of his wife, his 4 daughters and his son. Son of the late Albert Morrissette and the late Donia Monette, he was predeceased by his sisters: Aline and Rita (Bernard Gauthier). Leo is survived by his wife of 62 years, Doris (née Kelly); his daughters: Sharon (Pierre Archambault), Nicole, Renée (Hervé Gamache) and Joanne (Jeff Smith); his son Louis (Marie-Claude Bénazet); his 9 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren; his sister Esthel; his friends: Henri, Jean-Paul and many others, his sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, several nieces and nephews, as well as his faithful canine companion Boulie. Passionate about animals and nature lover, Léo and Doris lived in the countryside for more than 10 years. Ten years during which he raised several stray cats and fed raccoons, birds, chipmunks and deer. Affable and always ready to entertain family and friends at the cottage, at home or in Florida, Leo, along with his wife, hosted countless parties and gatherings where he loved to tell stories and laugh out loud. Not without his faults, vulnerable well-guarded and sometimes hard to penetrate, Leo was a sensitive man who in his own way offered help and reached out...often discreetly and in the background; he was moved and touched by the neediness of vulnerable beings. Simple, courageous, determined, hardworking, resourceful like no other, builder and a real go-getter, Léo was, by desire and circumstance, a man of smart businessman who knew how to overcome adversity, share the fruits of his success, provide for the comfort of his family and sow the seeds of business in many of his children.
