On September 27, 2002, at the age of 73 years and 1 month, passed away Mr. Roland Mercier, husband of Dame Maria Pedneault, residing at 1465, boul. St. Paul in Chicoutimi. The family will receive relatives and friends on Monday, September 30, 2002 from 2 to 5 p.m. and from 7 to 10 p.m. and on Tuesday, October 1, 2002 from 9 to 10:45 a.m. at the Emery Gravel funeral home, Cooperative Movement 520, boul. Saguenay East, Chicoutimi (opposite the marina of the Old Port) The funeral will take place on Tuesday, October 1, 2002 at 10:30 a.m. at the Saint-Paul Apôtre church. He will be cremated at the Emery Gravel crematorium and the ashes will go to the Saint-Édouard cemetery, Ville de La Baie. Besides his wife Marie Pedneault, the deceased is survived by his children: Lily Mercier (Serge Desmeules), Rachel (Pierre Lavoie), Réjean (Louise Girard), Josée (Hubert Gamache) and Frédérick (Caroline Duperré); his grandchildren: Alexandre, Lise, David, Caroline, Keven and Alix; his brothers and sisters: the late Lucien Mercier (Rita Bélanger), the late Gaston and André (Louise Bolduc); his brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law: Lucien Pedneault (late Yvette Vinette), Simone (late Jean-Noël Tremblay), late Roméo (Gemma Larouche), late William (late Jocelyne Villeneuve), Maurice (Anita Deschênes), late Philippe, Roland (Marielle April), and late Guy. He also leaves several nephews and nieces, relatives and friends.
