Albert Maheux, 1915-2019 At the St-Alexandre Residential Center in Thetford, on December 26, 2019, a few days before he turned 105, passed away peacefully and surrounded by all his children, Mr. Albert Maheux, husband of the late Annette Sylvain. He is survived by his children: Denise (Gilles Boissonneault), Renald (Micheline Sicotte), Yvon (Loïs Zaor), Michel (Francine Tardif), Claude (Johanne Paré), Mario (Marie Morin). His grandchildren: Jean (Cindy Gagné) and the late Martin Boissonneault; Sonia, Richard (Miralva Melo), Serge (Flavia Monteiro), Isabelle (Jonathan Duncan) Maheux; Eric (Marjorie Nadeau), Jean-François (Nadia Mercier), Johanie, Olivier Maheux; Stephan (Céline Fontaine), Patrick (Gabrielle Cartier) Maheux; Christelle (Nicholas Patry), Michaël Maheux. His nine great-grandchildren: Mia, Aly, Adam Boissonneault, Coralie, Hector, Juliette Maheux; Melianne, Rosalie Maheux and Sebastien Duncan. He was the brother of Marcel (late Marie-Paule Ouellet) and the brother-in-law of Paul Lemieux (late Fernande) and he went to join his parents: Thomas (Valéda Rodrigue) and his deceased brothers and sisters: Béatrice (Lauréat Gagné) , Siméon (Gratia Gagné), Ernest (brother Wilfrid), Aurore (Della Lessard), Monique (Gabriel Groleau), Jean-Louis (Germaine Mercier), Adjutor (Marie-Paule Jacques), Hélène (Réal Gamache), Bertha. Of the Sylvain family, he is survived by his sister-in-law Laurentienne (late Jean-Louis Grenier) and his deceased sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law: Florentine (Jean Ouellet) Géraldine (Asmond Paquette), Adrien (Yolande Lessard), Fernand (Françoise Cloutier), Léo (Alphonsine Grégoire), Jean-Claude (Cécile Couture), Monique (Léonard Lessard), Albertine. He also leaves to mourn several other esteemed relatives, nephews and nieces. You can offer your condolences to the family on Sunday, January 5 from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and from 7 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. as well as Monday starting at 9 a.m. at the Gamache & Nadeau Funeral Center, 590, rue St-Alphonse Sud Thetford Mines. Relatives and friends are invited to join the family for a liturgy of words which will take place on Monday, January 6 at 11 a.m. at the Chapel of the Gamache & Nadeau Funeral Center. The family warmly thanks all the staff of the St-Alexandre Pavilion (nurses, auxiliary nurses, attendants and volunteers of the 3D wing, Dr. Gourdes, Dr. Trépanier) for all their good care and their empathy towards of their father as well as for this beautiful bond of friendship developed over the years.
