Irene A. Angie Chase, 84 of Londonderry, died May 17, 2005, in Maple Leaf Healthcare Center, Manchester. Mrs. Chase was born in Derry on March 18, 1921, a daughter of the late Archie and Yvonne (Gamache) LaPorte. She was a resident of Londonderry for most of her life. Mrs. Chase was a homemaker and enjoyed knitting afghans, crocheting, sewing and making pocketbooks, as well as gardening and canning. She loved to help pick grapes at her husband's vineyard, Flag Hill Winery and Distillery, and enjoyed fishing with her husband. She also enjoyed listening to citizen's band and ham radios; her radio handle was Possum. Mrs. Chase was a communicant of St. Thomas Aquinas Church, Derry. She is survived by her husband of 64 years, Calvin C. Chase Sr. of Londonderry; a son, Calvin Chase Jr. and his wife, Linda, of Dunstable, Mass.; three grandsons, Alan Chase and his wife, Nicole, of Dunstable, William Chase and his wife, Victoria, of Dunstable, Timothy Chase and his wife, Andrea, of Chelmsford, Mass.;a great-grandchild, Tristan James Chase of Dunstable; a sister, Imelda LeBlanc of Derry; a brother, Edmund LaPorte of Derry; and many nieces and nephews. ARRANGEMENTS: A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, May 20, at 10 a. M. in St. Thomas Aquinas Church, 26 Crystal Ave., Derry. The burial will be held at 1 p. M. in the New Hampshire State Veterans Cemetery, Boscawen. Friends were invited to call from Thursday at the Peabody Funeral Homes & Crematorium, 15 Birch St., Derry. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Lung Association of New Hampshire, 9 Cedarwood Drive, Unit 12, Bedford, NH 03110.
