- [S5] Obituary.
Lamoureux, (née Martin), Angèle 1919 - 2014 Quietly, surrounded by her children, Angèle Martin Lamoureux died on September 14, 2014. As she had so wished, she passed away in the house in Napierville where she had gave birth to her children and saw her own mother and then her husband leave this world. Married for 65 years to the late Rogel Lamoureux, their love was fruitful: Hélène (Anthony Kilsdonk), Micheline (Bruno Bergeron), Lise (Gilles Coache), Claire (Jacques Gamache), late Réjean (Madeleine Belle-Isle), Michel (Marie -Marthe Armstrong), Huguette (late Conrad Racine), Marielle, Janine (Jacques Monière) and Yvon, 22 grandchildren and 32 great-grandchildren. She also leaves to mourn her sisters-in-law Liliane, Paula and Rita, many nieces and nephews as well as other relatives and friends. Coming from a line of teachers, a graduate of the Jacques-Cartier normal school, she taught until her marriage in the village of Hemmingford, then in one-room schools in Sherrington. She then collaborated in the family business in addition to assisting her husband in his involvement in the school and municipal sectors. Her life companion was always proud of her education, her involvement in charitable works and the model she was for her family. Dignified but humble, welcoming and generous, his house was always open to relatives and to the many friends, visitors, customers and other card players. It went without saying that she always offered them a meal. She who had done so much for others, she felt a lot of gratitude towards those who were present with her during her later years. The family will receive condolences on Friday, September 26 from 2 to 4 p.m. and from 7 to 10 p.m., as well as on Saturday, September 27 from 9 a.m. at the Coopérative funéraire du Grand Montréal Résidence funéraire René Fortin 435, St-Jacques Napierville, Qc J0L 1L0 450-245-3355 The funeral will follow at 11 a.m. at St-Cyprien-de-Napierville Church, followed by interment.
