Gilbert 'Gabby' Lagacé 1949-2020 À l'Hôpital Général de Grand-Sault, le lundi 3 février 2020, à l'âge de 70 ans, est décédé Gilbert 'Gabby' Lagacé, époux de Jacqueline Desjardins, domicilié à Drummond. Né à Grand-Sault en 1949, il était fils de feu Abraham 'Tom' Lagacé et de feu Léona Côté. Il laisse dans le deuil son épouse, quatre enfants, Nona Short (Tracy) d'Ajax, Ontario, Ricky Lagacé (Stéphanie Boudreau) de Memramcook, Jay Lagacé (Jacquelyn Richard) de Vancouver et Mia Lagacé (Jeremy Flynn) de Fredericton, petits-enfants, Charlotte, Pierre-Olivier et Teyla, son frère et ses soeurs, Norma Gamache de Roseville, Californie, Réginald 'Knobby' (Laurence) de Drummond et Fernande Sheetz (Ron) de Melbourne Beach, Floride, beaux-frères et belles-soeurs, Léandre, Hermel, Irma, Raymonde, Claire, Yolande, Bertrand, Maurèle, Françoise et Réjean, ainsi que la deuxième épouse de son beau-père, Jeanne Laforge Desjardins, résidante de la Villa des Chutes de Grand-Sault, de nombreux neveux et nièces. Il a été précédé par ses parents, ses soeurs et son frère, Jeannine, Rino et Dolores, son beau-père et sa belle-mère, Wilfred et Cécile (Richard) Desjardins. Il n'y aura pas de funérailles publiques pour Gabby, cependant la famille et ses amis intimes se réuniront en privé afin de célébrer sa vie. Au lieu de fleurs, la famille demande de faire un don en mémoire de Gabby à la Banque alimentaire régionale de Grand-Sault ou à la Société canadienne de la santé mentale. He was the husband of Jacqueline (Desjardins) Lagacé. Born at Grand Falls in 1949, he was a son of the late Abraham 'Tom' and Leona (Côté) Lagacé. He is survived by his wife, four children, Nona Short (Tracy) of Ajax, Ontario, Ricky Lagacé (Stéphanie Boudreau) of Memramcook, Jay Lagacé (Jacquelyn Richard) of Vancouver and Mia Lagacé (Jeremy Flynn) of Fredericton, grandchildren, Charlotte, Pierre-Olivier and Teyla, brother and sisters, Norma Gamache of Roseville, California, Reginald 'Knobby' (Laurence) of Drummond and Fernande Sheetz (Ron) of Melbourne Beach, Florida, brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Léandre, Hermel, Irma, Raymonde, Claire, Yolande, Bertrand, Maurèle, Françoise and Réjean, as well as his father-in-law's second wife, Jeanne Laforge Desjardins, a resident of the Falls Villa and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents, his sisters and brother, Jeannine, Rino and Dolores, his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Wilfred and Cécile (Richard) Desjardins. Services for Gabby will be private with his family and close friends in attendance. In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate donations in Gabby's memory be made to the Grand Falls Regional Food Bank or the Canadian Mental Health Association.
