Jean-Claude Guimont 1946-2022 - Died on January 13, 2022, Cap-Saint-Ignace. Guimont, Jean-Claude 1946-2022 At the Montmagny Hospital, on January 13, 2022, at the age of 75, passed away Mr. Jean-Claude Guimont, husband of Mrs. Martine Éthier. Son of the late Berthe Gamache and the late Mr. Paul-Emile Guimont, he lived in Cap-Saint-Ignace. Besides his wife Martine, he is survived by his children: Christine and Guylaine (Félix Lemay); his grandchildren: Jérémy and Myajah Guimont Deschênes, as well as Émilie Guimont Leduc. He was also the father of the late Marie-Claude. He was the brother and brother-in-law of: the late Paule-Andrée (late Jean-Claude Sylvestre) and Marie-Noëlle Guimont as well as Aline Harton; from the Éthier family: Claudette (Claude Martel), Raymonde, Lise (André Lefebvre) and the late Sylvie. Also affected by his departure are his nephews and nieces, his cousins, other relatives and his friends. Sincere thanks are addressed to the doctor Amélie Blanchette as well as the nursing staff of the Montmagny hospital for the excellent care provided. A celebration in his memory will be held in the presence of family members on Saturday, February 12, 2022 at 3 p.m. at the De la Durantaye et Fils funeral home in Cap-Saint-Ignace; please note that according to the recent instructions related to the pandemic, only 25 people can be present on site by invitation. However, it will be possible to attend by going to the CMATV.ca website (funeral/broadcast). The link will be sent to you by then. Please note that you will however be notified if the instructions of the Public Health Department are lightened by then and allow you to come and greet family members on a rotational basis.
