- [S5] Obituary.
Betty Ann Blanchard, 81, of Manchester, NH, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on February 8, 2022. Born in Manchester on November 18, 1940, she was a daughter of the late Charles and Evelyn (Fish) Buxton. Betty shared nearly 63 years of marriage with her loving husband, Normand Blanchard.
Betty was a lifelong resident of Manchester who attended Manchester West High School. In her younger years, she worked for Bee Bee Shoe Co., where she met Normand. She was later employed at Mod Tap and Velcro. After retirement, she and Normand enjoyed many years of traveling and soaking up the sun in Hawaii, Florida, and on cruises. In her spare time, she would knit caps for newborns, donating them to local hospitals. Betty had a wicked sense of humor and loved a good joke. Her loving spirit was a welcome addition to parties and family gatherings. She had a fondness for all of God's creatures and especially loved Cardinals, spending hours watching them at the birdfeeders Normand provided. Above all else, Betty cherished time spent with her family.
Betty is survived by her husband, Normand Blanchard of Manchester, NH; her daughter, Patricia Duval and her husband Marc of Valrico, FL; her son, Michael Blanchard and his wife Carolyn of Goffstown, NH; her grandchildren, Christine Waldo, Samantha Hennelly, Nathan Blanchard and Jonathan Blanchard; her great-grandchildren, Connor Hennelly and Ella Waldo; her Goddaughter, Carol Preston; as well as many nieces and nephews. Betty was predeceased by brothers, George, Melvin, Charles, and sister Barbara Gamache.
Services to be held at a later date.
