Mr. François Fournier of Saint-André-Avellin, formerly of Chénéville, died on Tuesday, August 23, 2016, at the age of 79. Loving husband of Lucie Perrier; son of the late Essé Fournier and the late Alexina Lirette. He was the beloved father of Carole and Diane (Marc-André Proulx); the beloved grandfather of Nathalie, Marc-Olivier, Myriam and Catherine; Léa and Ellie's great-grandfather; and the dear brother of Georgette (late Fernand Charlebois), Thérèse (late Henri-Paul Servant), Madeleine (late Lionel Bois), Jacqueline (Hector Gamache) and Françoise (Ghislain Godin). He was predeceased by a daughter, Martine as well as by 2 brothers and 7 sisters. Also survived by many brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, cousins, nephews, nieces and friends. The family invites relatives and friends to the Petite-Nation Shields Berthiaume Family Funeral Complex, 101 Principale Street, St-André-Avellin, Quebec, (819) 983-6616, on Sunday August 28, 2016 from 7 to 10 p.m. Monday, August 29, 2016 from 10:30 a.m. The funeral will take place at St-Félix-de-Valois Church in Chénéville on Monday, August 29, 2016 at 2 p.m. Burial in the parish cemetery. A special thank you to Dr. Mathieu Gilbeault, to the entire CLSC Petite-Nation home care team, especially Mrs. Stéphanie Cayer, and to the entire team at Résidence Le Monarque for the excellent care provided to Mr. Fournier as well as than the support given to the family.
