RITA USARZEWICZ OBITUARY
HAMILTON Rita K. Usarzewicz, 85, of Hamilton, NJ, passed on Monday, October 17, 2022, with her family by her side, at Capital Health Medical Center in Hopewell, NJ. Born in Bayonne, New Jersey, Rita graduated as her class Valedictorian at Bayonne High School. She went on to work for the FBI in the Newark Office as an Administrative Assistant. After staying home to raise her family, Rita returned to the workforce, again serving as an Administrative Assistant, for Bristol Myers Squibb, primarily with the Animal Health Division and over time with the company President. She retired in 2002 after 26 years of service. Rita was a longtime communicant of Our Lady of Sorrows-St. Anthony Parish in Hamilton where she served as a Sunday Greeter for many years. She loved to entertain. For Rita, the presentation and table setting were just as important as the meal prepared. She always made it a point to have each family member's favorite side dish prepared. She deeply cherished her family. Predeceased by her parents, Edward and Anna (Rachinsky) Kinsky and her husband of 61 years, Michael R. Usarzewicz; Rita is survived by her sister and her husband, Janet and Michael Tomatore; her sister-in-law, Clara Durak; her sons and their spouses, Michael, Steven and Lori, and Alex and Kristin Usarzewicz; her grandchildren and their husbands, Jordan and Ray Gamache, Brittany and Christopher Gero, Morgan and Christopher Gordon, and Lindsay and John Gallelli; her great-grandchildren, Jolie and Anneliese Gamache, Christopher Gero, and Madison and Hailey Gallelli; her niece, nephews, great nieces and great nephews; and her cousins. The Usarzewicz Family extends their gratitude to Princeton Home Health Care, and the exceptional support and care of Rita's aide, Sasha Ferguson, as well as the spiritual support, friendship and love of Msgr. Thomas Gervasio. Visitation for family and friends will be held on Monday, October 24, 2022, from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and Tuesday, October 25, 2022 from 9:00 a.m. until 9:45 a.m. at the Saul Colonial Home, 3795 Nottingham Way, Hamilton Square, NJ. Funeral services will begin on Tuesday, October 25, 2022, at 9:45 a.m. at the Saul Colonial Home. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, October 25, 2022, at 11:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Sorrows-St. Anthony Parish, Our Lady of Sorrows RC Church, 3816 East State Street Extension, Hamilton, NJ. Interment will follow at St. Hedwig's Cemetery, 500 Eggert Crossing Road, Ewing Township, NJ 08638.
