HAMILTON Michael R. Usarzewicz, 86, of Hamilton, NJ, passed away peacefully at home, in the presence of his family, on Monday, February 7, 2022. Born in Bayonne, NJ, Michael graduated from Bayonne High School and continued his education at St. Peter's University. He worked as an accountant for Bristol Meyers Squibb in Lawrenceville for over 25 years and had also worked for Bloomberg hand pricing stocks. In his spare time, Michael loved woodworking, and family genealogy. Above all else he was a devoted family man. Predeceased by his parents, Louis S. and Stella Ann (Pinkos) Usarzewicz; his brother and wife, Luis and Julianna Usarzewicz; his sister and husband, Barbara and Mike Quinlan; and his brother-in-law, John Durak; he is survived by his wife of 61 years, Rita (Kinsky) Usarzewicz; his sons and their spouses, Michael, Steven and Lori, and Alex and Kristin Usarzewicz; his grandchildren and husbands, Jordan and Ray Gamache, Brittany and Christopher Gero, Morgan and fiance, Christopher, and Lindsay and John Gallelli; his great-grandchildren, Jolie and Anneliese Gamache, and Christopher Gero; his sister-in-law and husband, Janet and Michael Tomatore; and his niece, nephews and cousins. The Usarzewicz Family extends their gratitude to Memorial Sloan Kettering, Palliative Care of Penn Medicine at Princeton, and Hospice at Penn Medicine at Princeton for their exceptional support and care and their heartfelt thanks to Michael's aides, Terryann, Jasmine, Sasha, Teddy and Millicent, and the spiritual support, friendship, and love of Msgr. Thomas Gervasio. Funeral services will begin on Friday, February 11, 2022, at 10:00 a.m. at the Saul Colonial Home, 3795 Nottingham Way, Hamilton Square, NJ. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, February 11, 2022, at 11:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Sorrow-St. Anthony Parish, Our Lady of Sorrow RC Church, 3816 East State Street Extension, Hamilton, NJ. Interment will follow at St. Hedwig's Cemetery in Lawrence, NJ. Visitation for family and friends will be held on Friday, February 11, 2022, from 8:30 a.m. until 10:00 a.m. at the Saul Colonial Home. Masks are optional for the visitation and funeral services honoring Michael R. Usarzewicz.
