Edward Cote, 77, of Fall River, died Friday, March 10, 2006 at Charlton Memorial Hospital. He was the husband of Doris E. (Gagnon) Cote. They were married on November 26, 1953. A lifelong resident of Fall River, he was the son of the late Eddie J. and Melina E. (Quesnel) Cote. He was employed by Newport Roofing, Newport, Rhode Island for 42 years, retiring in 1985. He was a member of Sheet Metal Workers Local 17, Providence, Rhode Island. His hobbies include painting by numbers and puzzles. He was an army veteran of the Korean War. Besides his wife of 52 years, he leaves 3 sons, Richard Cote and his wife Karen of Tiverton, Roger Cote and his wife Jeannine of Fall River and Paul Cote and his wife Cheryl of Somerset; 2 daughters, Denise Garant and her husband Marc of Fall River and Diane Flynn and her fiancé Dave of Westport; 2 sisters, Doris Gamache of Fall River, Gertrude Montmagny of West Warwick, grandfather of Kimberly and Lindsey Garant, Russell, Page, Chelsea and Christopher Cote, Cody and Sarah Flynn and Jason Aguiar; 1 great-grandson, Elijah Rose, many nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late George E. Cote and Rita Cote. Following cremation, a funeral mass will be held at a time to be announced in Holy Trinity Church, Stafford Rd.
