IN MEMORIAM BERTRAND (M. René) ?René, my husband, my father, my grandfather, my brother, my friend: for several months already, you had been bravely fighting the disease. Your suffering ended on February 11th surrounded by your loved ones. René, a man of commitment, of great generosity, very involved in the community. You left your mark through the Red Cross, the Foyers Notre-Dame, the Friends of St-Benoît-du-Lac, the Asselin Foundation, the Patro de Jonquière Foundation, the parish of Notre-Dame-de-Fatima, the Club Richelieu, the Maison Le Buisson Ardent and the city of Jonquière. René, passionate about optometry, a profession you practiced until illness prevented you from doing so, in the fall of 2008. In contact with you, everyone felt grown and appreciated. You will always be an inspiration, you will always remain in our hearts. From where you are, we know that you continue to watch over us. René, we love you xxx» On February 11, 2010, died at the Jonquière Health and Social Services Center at the age of 81 years and 7 months, Mr. René Bertrand, husband of Mrs. Rollande Bourassa, living on rue Ste-Catherine, Jonquiere. The family will receive relatives and friends at the Résidence funéraire du Saguenay 2580, rue St-Dominique Jonquière on Saturday February 13, 2010 from 2 to 5 p.m. and from 7 to 10 p.m., Sunday February 14, 2010 from 2 to 5 p.m. from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. and on Monday, February 15, 2010, starting at 9 a.m. The funeral will take place on Monday, February 15, 2010 at 11 a.m. at St-Dominique Church. Burial will take place at Arvida Cemetery. He was the son of the late Mrs. Adwilda Grenon and the late Mr. Joseph Bertrand. Besides his wife Mrs. Rollande Bourassa, he is survived by: his children: Daniel (Maryse Lapointe), Anick, Marie-Josée (Mario Fortin), Claude, Erick (Nancy Gaudreault) and the late René jr. ; his grandchildren: Geneviève, Jean-François, Christian, Catherine, Alexandra, Joël, Renée and Stéphanie. He was the brother of: late Simone Bertrand (late René Simard), late Marguerite (late René Boulay), late Aimé (late Marie-Ange Gamache, late Germaine Germain), late Pierre (late Garcia Boily), late Gabrielle (late Patrick Plamondon), late Gilberte (late Philippe Corneau), late Cécile, late Marie-Claire (late Emmanuel Gobeil), Paul (late Berthe Beaupré), Cécile (late Marcel Lapointe), Marie-Berthe (Gérard Audy). He was the brother-in-law of: late Monique Bourassa, Denys (late Marielle Houle, Lisette Comeau), Edna, late Paul (late Chantal Garon), late Léonard (late Françoise Leduc), Jean-Léon (Ivonne Beaulieu), Jean-Marc (Denise Boily), Gilles (Françoise Auger), Charles (Luce Garon), Micheline (Raymond Rouleau), Lucien.
