Son of the late Joseph George and Melvina (Gendron) Brazeau. He attended L'Anse High School until he was inducted into the U.S. Army during WWII. He was discharged in 1945. On November 18, 1939, he married the former Ann Murvin in L'Anse. They would have celebrated 63 years of marriage this year. Mr. Brazeau was a woods worker and later was employed as a construction foreman at K.I. Sawyer Airbase. He was a self-employed building contractor for many years until his retirement in 1980. He then served as the L'Anse Twp. and Village of L'Anse Building Inspector until 2002. He was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, and the American Legion Post 144, L'Anse. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and being with his grandchildren and was a devoted animal lover.
Mr. Brazeau was survived by his wife, Ann Brazeau, son Joseph (Chris) Brazeau, daughters, Mary (Stuart) Lahti, Barbara (Aldrick) Sirard, son-in-law, Paul Rajala, 19 grandchildren, 20 great- grandchildrenand brother Earl Brazeau. Nieces, nephews and cousins also survived. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Margaret in 2002, a sister Yvonne, and brother, Russell.
