BUCKLAND -- Thomas G. Crafts, 56, of Clesson Brook Road, died Friday (11-26-10) at home.
He was born in Greenfield on March 25, 1954, the son of Gilbert Shaw and Minnie Crafts. He attended local schools in Colrain.
Tom was a self-employed logger for many years.
He enjoyed joy riding in the countryside with his daughter Rose.
His wife, the former Roberta J. Lowell, predeceased him on Dec. 16, 2003.
Survivors include a son, Gilbert ''John'' Crafts and his wife, Amy, of Buckland; three daughters, Lisa M. Houlberg and her husband, Vince, of Sunderland, Rebecca A. Mesic and her husband, Leonard, of Westmoreland, N.H., and Stephanie ''Rose'' Crafts at home; five brothers, Mark, William and Raymond of Louisiana, and Francis and Clarence of Greenfield; seven sisters, Ruth Sparks of Idaho, Marilyn Harrison of New York, Avis Mayrand of North Carolina, Gertrude ''Sue'' Hunker of New Hampshire, Lorraine Gamache of Greenfield, and Bonnie Brown of Colrain; six grandchildren; an aunt, Phyllis Shaw of Buckland; and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday at noon at the Kostanski Funeral Home, 1 Kostanski Square, Turners Falls.
Burial will follow in North Amherst Cemetery.
A calling hour will be Wednesday from 11 a.m. until the time of the service at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Franklin County, 329 Conway St., Greenfield MA 01301.
