  [S5] Obituary. Nathan Howard Bryant Jr., age 88, of Holland, died Monday, May 10, 2010, in the Inn of Freedom Village. He was preceded in death by his wife of 54 years, Marjorie Anderson Bryant. Nathan, son of Nathan and Florence Bryant, was born in Grand Rapids. He is a graduate of the University of Michigan School of Theater and is a member and life-long supporter of the University of Michigan chapter of Delta Kappa Epsilon. During World War II, Nathan served in the U.S. Army Signal Corps broadcasting entertainment for the troops in the Pacific Theater. Upon returning to Grand Rapids, Nate was an ?on-air? personality for WJEF. Subsequently, he had a long, fulfilling career in industrial sales. While residing in Grand Rapids, he was active in the Civic Theater and Grace Episcopal Church. He moved to Holland in 1972. An enthusiastic yachtsman, he was a member of Macatawa Bay Yacht Club and the Island Goats Society, recognizing his completion of 25 Chicago-Mackinac races. Nathan is survived by his three children, Anne Bryant Gamache (Roger), Thomas G. Bryant (Mary Cole), Martha Bryant Tuthill (Parker); six grandchildren, Jacqueline Gamache, Lauren Tuthill, Bryant Tuthill, Danielle Gamache, Tanner Bryant and Davis Bryant.
