  [S5] Obituary. Charles F. Ferguson, Sr. Gastonia - Mr. Charles F. Ferguson, Sr., 88, of Gastonia, NC, passed away Wednesday, July 7, 2021 at Peake Resources, Cherryville, NC. Funeral service will be 3:00 p.m. Sunday, July 11, 2021 at Crowders Creek A.R.P. Church, 207 Crowders Creek Road, Gastonia, NC with the Rev. Chuck Evans officiating. Interment will be in the Church Cemetery. Mr. Ferguson was born March 21, 1933 in Gaston County, NC to the late William Campbell and Eva Petty Ferguson. He was employed with the Life Insurance Company of Georgia for over 35 years and was an active lifelong member of Crowders Creek A.R.P. Church. Along with his parents, he was also preceded in death by his brothers, Bill Ferguson and Bob Ferguson, a sister, Margaret F. Falls, and a grandson and best friend, Shane Kipper Ferguson. Survivors are his wife of 69 years, Ann Bost Ferguson; daughter, Lisa F. Gamache of Rock Hill, SC; son, Charles "Chuck" F. Ferguson, Jr. (Robin) of Gastonia, NC; grandchildren, Zachary Ferguson (Maegan) and Whitney Barefoot (Jason); and great grandchildren, Hudson, Charlie, Finley, and Henry Barefoot and Kipper and Keller Ferguson.
