GAMACHE, Ronald William Flint Township - Age 73, passed away October 26, 2020. Private Services with Military Honors will be held at Great Lakes National Cemetery, Holly. Memorial contributions in Ronald's memory would be appreciated to Disabled American Veterans. Ron was born February 17, 1947 in Alpena, the son of William Alby and Margaret Alberta (Stamm) Gamache. Ron was raised in Hillman. He graduated from Catholic Central High School in Alpena. Ron proudly served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. He was employed with General Motors at Buick for 38 years. Ron enjoyed hunting, fishing, playing poker, gardening, and also tending to projects at his home and around the yard. He loved to listen to music and play his guitar and harmonica. He liked spending time with his grandchildren and having them over for weekends. Ron especially enjoyed spending his retirement years at his home and hobby farm in Oakley. He is survived by: children, Ronald (Charlotte) Gamache, Jennifer Taylor, Joseph Gamache, and Rochelle Gamache; 12 grandchildren; 1 great granddaughter; 3 brothers, and 6 sisters; several nieces and nephews. Ron was preceded in death by his parents and 4 sisters (Gloria, Janet, Kathryn, and Mary). Online condolences may be shared at www.sharpfuneralhomes.com.
