Deceased Name: James T. Wheeler
NORTHBORO - James T. Wheeler of Northboro died on July 10.
He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Bernice G. (Bourinot) Wheeler; three sons, Patrick Joseph Wheeler and his wife, Marilyn, of Manchester, Vt., John Joseph Wheeler and his wife, Maureen, of Holden and Robert Joseph Wheeler and his wife, Linda, of Florence; two daughters, Eileen Gamache and her husband, Ron, of Chelmsford and Elizabeth A. Steele of Plymouth; 13 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his son, Michael Joseph Wheeler, who died in 1972.
Born and raised in Waltham, he was the son of the late Francis and Mabel (McNaney) Wheeler. He was a Northboro resident for the past 51 years.
He had a wonderful, interest in everything around him. He often said "You have to go through life with the expectations that you have yet to meet your best friend."
He was a veteran of the U.S. Army who served in Japan. He graduated from St. Charles High School in Waltham and worked as a machinist for Artisan Industries in Waltham for 45 years before retiring in 1993. He was an active member of St. Rose of Lima Church and past president of the Northboro Up and Coming Investment Club.
A funeral Mass was held July 14, at St. Rose of Lima Church. Burial was in Howard Street Cemetery. Hays Funeral Home directed arrangements.
