Gamache, William "Bill" Carlisle Age 60, Queensland. It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of William "Bill" Carlisle Gamache, on September 17, 2024, at home in Queensland surrounded by his loving family. He will forever be remembered as a thoughtful, generous and loving husband, father, brother, uncle and friend, who gave the best hugs and never lost his mischievous sense of humour. Always embracing life as it came, he faced the challenges of Huntington's Disease with courage, strength and dignity. He is predeceased by siblings, Bobbie and Diana in infancy; sisters, Pam and Debbie; parents, Evelyn and Larry; and father-in-law, Ivan Cleveland. He is survived by his wife of 33 years, Kathryn; children, Jillian (Colton DeCoste) and Brendan; sister, Wendy (Kate Holmes); brother, Steve; sisters-in-law, Cheryl (John Strathearn) and Kristina Cleveland; brother-in-law, Bruce Cleveland; and mother-in-law, Joan Cleveland. He will forever be missed by his nieces and nephews whom he loved dearly. Special thanks are extended to Dr. Lilian Nwogu, Dr. Kerri Schoffer and the team at the Neurology Clinic at the HI, and Dr. Lucy Patrick and her team, for their kindness and support throughout his illness. A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, September 20th in the Ronald A. Walker's Funeral Home 13549 Peggy's Cove Road, Upper Tantallon, with a reception to follow.
