He was predeceased by: his wife Lucille Nolet; his daughter Thérèse; Joseph (the late Marie-Marthe Audit), Lucien (the late Isabelle Nadeau), Lucienne (the late Armand Landry), Wilfrid (the late Florence Martineau), Madeleine (the late Roland Gamache), Philippe and Robert (the late Réjeanne Beaulieu).
He is survived by his children, Michel (Lise Poulin), Agathe (the late Denis Byatt), and Marcel (Louise Giroux); his grandchildren, Nicolas, Myriam Gamache (Alex Larabée), Gabriel Byatt (Andréanne Deschênes), Antoine Byatt (Valérie Busque), Sébastien, and Alexis Gamache; his parents, Alfred Gamache and Marie Lessard; his siblings, Hector (the late Émilia Bisson), Rosaire (the late Hélène Gagné), Valère, Lauréate (the late Lucien Dostie), Liboire, Jérémie (the late Mariette Drouin), Antoinette (the late Adrien Jacques), Rachelle (the late Gérard Bolduc), Jeannette (the late Roland Jacques), and Roland (the late Madeleine Nolet); Rita (Déziel Nadeau), and Alice (the late Jean-Denis Gamache). He also leaves to mourn his nephews and nieces, as well as many other relatives and friends.
A visitation will be held on Saturday, February 7, 2026, from 9:00 AM to 12:15 PM at the Gamache & Nadeau Funeral Home Ltd. (590 St. Alphonse-Sud Street, Thetford Mines, QC G6G 3V8). A memorial service will be held on Saturday, February 7, 2026, at 12:30 PM at the same location.
