Daniel W. "Dickie" Warner, age 68, of Powers Lane, died at home on Thursday, December 20, 2018. He was born June 26, 1950 in Schenectady NY and was the son of the late Daniel and Ginger (Shimkus) Warner. Dickie served in the Air Force as a machine metal worker and went on to have a career in the sheet metal industry. Dickie greatly enjoyed woodworking and making Christmas decorations and ornaments for his friend and family. He also enjoyed playing darts with his friends and was a gifted drummer. Dickie was predeceased by his loving wife, Linda Warner and his dear sisters, Millicent Mason, Lenora Moore and Deanna Gross. He is survived by his beloved sister, Judy Gamache; several loving nieces and nephews and his four legged friend, his dog, Buddy. His family would especially like to thank Angel, with Community Hospice for taking excellent care of him during his recent illness. Family and friends are invited and may call on Wednesday, December 26, 2018 at 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. at Townley and Wheeler Funeral Home, 21 Midline Road, Ballston Lake, NY 12019. Interment will follow at Gerald B.H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Community Hospice 310 S. Manning Blvd, Albany, NY 12208.
