Virginia A. Davis, 71, of Salem, NH passed away of lung cancer on Saturday, December 10, 2016 at her home with her loving family by her side. She was born in Lawrence, MA, a daughter of the late Matthew and Angelina (DiLorenzo) Murphy.
Ginny worked for over 30 years in different secretarial capacities at Salem High School. Following her retirement, she returned to the school and became a special education aide. She loved teaching and working with the children and had many friends at Salem High School. Outside of work she was a woman on the go. A strong woman who enjoyed her time spent outdoors and hiking the White Mountains. She was a member of AMC, the book club and enjoyed traveling, playing piano, craft fairs and supporting local artists. She was a member of the Tong Ren healing community in Haverhill, MA.
She is survived by her four children; Laura Gamache and her husband Jason of Hooksett, NH, Jennifer Brungot and her husband Bingo of Toano, VA, Kristen Davis of Salem and Matthew Davis and his wife Stephanie of Salem, by six grandchildren; Olivia and Rowan Gamache, Nathan and Alyssa Brungot and Logan and Evan Davis and also by three fur grand animals; Lilly, Lucy and Brady.
Visiting hours will be held on Thursday, December 15, 2016 from 4:00pm to 8:00pm in the Douglas & Johnson Funeral Home, 214 Main St., Salem. In lieu of flowers memorials may be directed to Salem Dollars for Scholars, P.O. Box 297, Salem, NH
