Deceased Name: GORMAN. HAROLD ``HARRY'' C. GORMAN
GORMAN. Harold ``Harry'' C. Gorman, 66, of Fernwood Drive, Windham, husband of Sally (May) Gorman, died Friday (July 28) at the Windham Hospital. He was born Sept. 26, 1928, in Hartford, the son of the late Harold and Harriet (Magnuson) Gorman, and had resided in Windham since 1963. He was a graduate of the William Hall High School, West Hartford, the American Institute of Banking, the Banking School of Williams College, and the Stonier Graduate School of Banking at Rutgers University. In September of 1990, Harry retired as Vice President and Branch Manager of the Willimantic branch of CBT, after 44 years of employment. He was active in numerous civic organizations, having served as president of the Hartford Chapter of the A.I.B., the Hat ch Wing Corp. of Windham Hospital, and the Willimantic Chamber of Commerce. He also served on the board of the E.C.S.U. Foundation, and was a life member of the Willimantic Rotary Club. In addition to his wife, he is survived by two sons and a daughter-in-law, Thomas Gorman of New Britain, Harold and Susan Gorman of Freeport, Maine; two daughters and sons-in-law, Susan and Robert Gamache, and Nancy and John Nichols, all of Willimantic; a brother, Robert E. Gorman of Wethersfield; five grandchi ldren, Megan and Matt Gamache, Brianne and Brad Nichols, and Taylor Gorman; and a special friend, Thomas Reese. The funeral will be Monday, 11 a.m., at the Potter Funeral Home, 456 Jackson St. (Rte. 195) Willimantic, with the Rev. James P. Beesley Jr. o fficiating. Burial will follow in the Windham Center Cemetery. Relatives and friends are also invited to attend calling hours Sunday, 2-5 p.m., In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Lung Association, 45 Ash St., East Ha rtford 06108, or to a charity of the donor's choice.
