Steinmetz LE ROY -- Gary Steinmetz of Le Roy passed away peacefully at the Latta Road Nursing home on Wednesday (Jan. 1, 2014) at the age of 74. Gary was born on Nov. 11, 1939, in Batavia to the late Donald and Elizabeth (Wheelock) Steinmetz. He was the third generation Funeral Director and previous owner of H. Steuber & Son Funeral Home in Le Roy. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Le Roy, Oatka Hose, Le Roy Moose Lodge 1132, and National Cutting Horse Association and member of the Rochester Genesee Valley Funeral Directors Association. He is survived by his loving wife Jean Steinmetz; children, Mark (Dana Gamache) Steinmetz, Ann (David Fuccillo) Steinmetz, John (Ann) Steinmetz; two grandchildren, Emma and Eleanor Steinmetz; sister, Bonnie (Konrad) Kerr; and several nieces and nephews. Family and friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday at the Cameron Brady & Steuber Funeral Home, 111 Wolcott St. (Route 19 South), Le Roy, where funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday.
