  [S5] Obituary. Peoria Journal Star, The (IL) - Wednesday, November 17, 2004 Deceased Name: Shirley Burris Streator - Shirley "Aunty" A. Burris, 73, formerly of 1011 Hall St. died at 12:15 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 14, 2004, at Camelot Terrace. Born April 10, 1931, in Escanaba, Mich., to George and Mary Leduc Curran, she married Dewey Burris. He preceded her in death. She also was preceded in death by four brothers and one sister. Surviving are one sister, Belle (and Louis) Gamache of Gladstone, Mich.; and two nieces whom she helped raise, Mary Timm of Streator and Sally Pelszynski of Princeton. She worked at Owens-Illinois Glass Co. After retiring, she worked as a cook at several restaurants in the Streator area. She also graduated from beauty school. A memorial service will be at 3 p.m. Thursday at Solon, Baker & Telford Funeral Home in Streator, where visitation will be two hours before. The Rev. Jerome Ham will officiate.
