WESTFIELD - Paul H. Gagnon, 76, longtime resident of Agawam, passed away January 4th 2011 at Baystate Medical Center, Spring-field. Born & educated in Springfield, he was the son of the late Camille & Sylvia (Desmarais) Gagnon. Paul was a 1952 graduate of Cathedral High School, and the University of Hartford in 1960. Paul was a maintenance manager at H. P. Hood Co. of Suffield, CT for 28 years, and later was the owner of the Jug Shop in Enfield, CT. He served in the US Navy for 4 years during the Korean War. He was a communicant of Our Lady of Blessed Sacrament Church, Westfield. He was an avid Red Sox fan! He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Jacqueline "Jackie" (Burke) Gagnon, a son Christopher Gagnon and his wife Sonja of San Diego, CA, three daughters, Linda Gamache and her husband James of Westfield, MA, Deborah Gagnon and her partner Kathy Kolankiewicz of Albuquerque, NM, & Paula Gagnon and her partner Morgan Hite of Greenfield, MA, a brother, Bernard Gagnon and his wife Kathy of Vernon, CT, three grandchildren, Kara & Ryan Gamache, and Bryce Gagnon, and his beloved cat, "Sylvester". Funeral services will be Friday, January 7th, 2011 at 11:15 am from the Colonial-Forastiere Funeral Home, 985 Main St., Agawam, MA, followed by a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 12:30 pm in Our Lady of Blessed Sacrament Church, 127 Holyoke Rd., Westfield, MA. Burial will follow in the Mass. Veteran's Memorial Cemetery. Visiting hours at the funeral home will Thursday, January 6th from 5:00-8:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Our Lady of Blessed Sacrament Church.
