Deceased Name: Janet Kerr Waldron
SPRINGFIELD- Janet K. Waldron, (nee Kirkcaldy), 81, of Springfield, died Feb. 27 at Valley Hospital in Ridgewood, NJ. Born in Springfield, MA on April 5, 1922, she was the daughter of the late Anne and Robert Kirkcaldy. She was predeceased by her loving husband, William Waldron, in 2000; and her daughter, Ann Louise Gamache (nee Waldron), on February 7, 2004. She is survived by her daughter, Janet K. Paoli (nee Waldron), and son-in-law Ricardo Paoli of Monsey, NY, her son-in-law Daniel E. Gamache of Springfield, and her step-daughter Beverly Judd of Bondsville. She was the grandmother to Christopher Paoli, Elizabeth Hoskin (nee Paoli), Jennifer Gamache, Stephen Paoli, and Danielle Gamache. Also, the great-grandmother to Quentin, Tyler Megan, Tristin, Alexa Eileen, and Donald. Her sister, Catherine Yolda, brother-in-law James and nephew James of Warrenton, VA also survive her. Janet was a lifetime resident of Springfield until relocating to New Jersey three months ago. She graduated from the High School of Commerce and worked 20 years for the city of Springfield in the Auditors Department. She was a member of Christ Presbyterian Church and after retiring, enjoyed playing golf at Veterans Golf Course and played on the Women's League for years. The Funeral was held March 5 at Byron Funeral Home, 1858 Allen St. Burial in Hillcrest Park Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in the memory of her daughter, Ann Gamache, to the American Cancer Society, Centralized Memorial Processing Center, 30 Speen St., Framingham, MA 01701-9376.
