Rouses Point ? Veronica Beatrice (Phaneuf) Connelly, 52, of Church Street, Rouses Point, passed away Aug, 20, 2000, after a courageous battle with lung cancer.
Mrs. Connelly was born in Champlain on Feb. 24, 1948, the daughter of Kenneth and Beatrice (Gamache) Phaneuf.
She was employed by Wyeth-Ayerst Labs, Inc. for 33 years prior to her illness.
She is survived by her husband of 34 years, Francis (Jerry) Connelly and a son, Shawn Patrick. She is also survived by her father, Kenneth and her brother Clifton and his wife Tina. Other survivers include brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Andy and Shirley Juneau, Walter and Therese Connelly, Arnold and Marlene Beal, Norman and Kathleen Bechard, William Connelly, Michael and LouAnn Connelly, Linda Connelly, Daniel and Gail Carey and former sisters-in-law, Joan Connelly and Donna Mae Connelly; and several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
Vicki, as her friends knew her, was predeceased by her mother, Beatrice Phaneuf; a brother, Roy Phaneuf; a sister-in-law, Mary Juneau; a brother-in-law, Greg Connelly; and a niece, Wendy Phaneuf.
Due to her wishes, there will be no calling hours. A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Wednesday, Aug. 23rd, at 11 a.m. in St. Mary's Church in Champlain. Interment will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery. A reception immediately following the interment will be in Rouses Point at the K of C Hall.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Fitzpatrick Cancer Center in Plattsburgh.
The Clark Funeral Home in Champlain is in charge of arrangements.
