Died:
- Violet Braun, age 87, passed away on Tuesday, June 10, 2014 in San Antonio.
Violet was born in Milata, Hungary to parents, Andrew and Goldie Spitz.
At the age of 14, she was taken to the Jewish death camp of Auschwitz before being liberated by the British. She spent the next 5 years at a hospital in Sweden before her grandfather in Pittsburgh brought her to the US.
Violet met her husband in her new hometown and they were together for 64 loving years.
While making homes in Pennsylvania and Florida, before moving to Texas, Violet kept herself busy with her seamstress skills.
Violet is survived by her husband, Milton; daughter Gail Korzeniowski and her husband Ray; son Enric Braun and his wife, Hilary, 5 grandchildren and one great-grandchild with another on the way.
Violet was a wonderful wife, mother and grandmother, who left a life time of memories for many people to cherish in the years to come.
